Well, the best reason is that to upgrade to Phrogram Express will cost you nothing and you'll get lots of fun and useful features that will help you program better and faster.

You can easily update KPL programs to Phrogram programs with very little effort. I will be talking about the minor differences in this thread, attached you will find the first KPL Program that I updated to be a Phrogram program.

The features that come with Phrogram that are not apart of KPL:

1) Class Library Browser. This is in the view menu and allows you to easily lookup every system Method, Function and Property that Phrogram supports and get instant help with each one

2) Built in debugger. This makes finding and correcting error in your code simple and fast. With the debug view panel you can see the values as they change in you variables as the program runs.

3) The ability to create Executables from your programs and send them to your friends. This is available as part of the 15 day free trial and if you decide to purchase Phrogram Standard or Academic, you will be able to continue to create Executable Packages. If you decide to use the Express version then this feature will not be available.

4) Class Object based program. In KPL you are using Procedural programming. The next step in learning to Program in any modern professional language is Class Object based programming and Phrogram makes it as easy as it did when you learned KPL Procedural programming. You don’t lose the ability to do Procedural KPL style programming. It’s all there in Phrogram and you also get to start using Class Objects when you feel the need.

5) 3D game programming and lots of neat program examples and games. If you liked learning 2D sprite game programming, you’ll really like 3D game programming. It’s lots more fun to do and play!

6) Moderated Forums for help when you need it. We, at Phrogram, are all working on the Phrogram forums now. The KPL forums are currently only modestly moderated by us. The focus of our efforts from here on out will be on the Phrogram Web Site and its forums. We are there every day answering questions and helping everyone with their programs.

 I think this makes the point, why wait? You don’t lose anything you had with KPL and you gain so much with Phrogram!
