If you're just starting with the ExtendedFileIO library, you might find this program helpful.  

I can't open the folder C:/Program Files.  Why?  I don't have any trouble with other folders in the root directory. The reason I wanted to get there was to open a browser.  Anyone have any ideas on how to run Internet Explorer?
